Urban Decay cosmetics has launched their global initiative ” The Ultraviolet Edge”. The first of the limited edition that will help fund the initiative, every 100% purchase of the new and repackaged anti-aging eyeshadow primer, Enigma (pictured on the right, $20 each ), goes to its Ultraviolet Edge. Their global mission is to empower women, help fund, raise awareness and aid Women’s rights.
Their first spokesperson, is the beautiful ska/rock chick of No Doubt, (one of my favorites) Gwen Stefani. Hailing from Orange County, California, Stefani embodies Urban decay’s mantra, “Beauty with an edge”. She has broken barriers and dominated the male-driven music industry with her band, No Doubt: proving that women can also rule the world. She is also one of the judges in Christina Aguilera’s The Voice; mentoring and coaching new talents positively. With her sense of style, and her love for makeup, I think she perfectly fit the brand; embracing individuality.
Together with the brand’s co-founder Wende Zomnir, they are panning to raise more awareness, donate to all women organizations that empowers women, and recognize women that embodies their Mantra. Currently, they have partnered with Women’s Global Empowerment brand.
Urban Decay is available in Sephora stores. In Qatar, you can get them at Sephora Landmark Mall, Gulf Mall, or in Villagio Mall. Availability and launch dates may vary. For more information, visit uvedge. (Image from google.com)
