“It makes people think that it’s only your skin that has improved.” — Masooma for Makeup Forever Ultra HD Revolution
It’s my birthday last Oct. 9th and I have slightly been on a break. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I have been productive with my birthday, too. Besides being with my husband, family, & close friends, I have attended our family friend goddaughter’s birthday and also, my friend Masooma’s Makeup Forever Ultra HD Revolution event at Sephora, Villagio. Masooma Jaleel, is one of the most in demand makeup artists in the Gulf as she has provided makeup for international fashion icon Olivia Palermo, and Middle East pop sensation Ahlam Shamsi. Her works has also graced the pages of Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Harayer, and Haute Muse magazines. Unbeknownst to all, we used to work together in M.A.C. Cosmetics as part of the “Events Team Makeup Artists” back in the early Y2k’s. She has been an inspiration and a friend through my makeup journey. So despite the very last notice of her event, my husband, Kris and I made sure to show our support on her big busy day.
Her makeup expertise, passion in art, and distinctive artistry is what made her soar higher. With Makeup Forever Middle East, she has teamed up with top Middle East makeup artists such as Hanan Al-Najadah, Abeer Al-Yaseen, Fady Kataya, Robin Matthews, and Bouba for their highly anticipated ULTRA HD REVOLUTION foundation which comes in both liquid and cream stick formulas. I wanted to get my hands on the products, but the waiting line was jampacked with women and also, there were limited quantities of the products. One of the Sephora and Makeup Forever Beauty consultants informed me that it will be officially released on Feb. 2016. It was a wonderful day to celebrate my day, seeing a friend who deserves all the glory. It was also fun to see common people that I know who were there celebrating with Masooma. “Congratulations Masooma!!!”
